B. Business Transactions Conducted by the Research Analyst

  • Publishing research reports based on diligent research activities.
  • Providing impartial and unbiased viewpoints on securities.
  • Offering unbiased recommendations while transparently disclosing financial interests in recommended securities.
  • Furnishing research recommendations derived from analysis of publicly available information and known observations.
  • Conducting annual audits to ensure integrity and accuracy.

C. Services Provided to Investors (No Indicative Timelines)

  • Facilitating the onboarding process for clients.
  • Distributing research reports and recommendations to clients without discrimination.
  • Maintaining confidentiality regarding publication of research reports until made available in the public domain.

D. Grievance Redressal Mechanism and Access

In the event of any grievance or complaint, investors should first approach the concerned research analyst for resolution within 30 days.

If a satisfactory resolution is not achieved, investors may file a complaint with SEBI via the SCORES portal, a centralized web-based complaints redressal system. SEBI addresses complaints registered via SCORES with the concerned intermediary for timely resolution. Investors may also send physical complaints to the Office of Investor Assistance and Education at SEBI Bhavan, Mumbai.

E. Expectations from Investors (Responsibilities)

Do’s:

  • Ensure dealings are with SEBI registered Research Analysts.
  • Verify the validity of the Research Analyst’s registration certificate and SEBI registration number.
  • Refer to the list of all SEBI registered Research Analysts available on the SEBI website.

  • Pay attention to disclosures made in research reports before investing.
  • Make payments to Research Analysts through banking channels and obtain duly signed receipts.
  • Verify research recommendations provided by the Research Analyst before making investment decisions.
  • Clarify doubts and ask relevant questions before acting on recommendations.
  • Inform SEBI about Research Analysts offering assured or guaranteed returns.

Don’ts:

  • Do not provide funds for investment directly to the Research Analyst.
  • Avoid falling for enticing advertisements or market rumors.
  • Refrain from being swayed by limited period discounts or other incentives offered by Research Analysts.
  • Do not share trading and demat account login credentials and passwords with the Research Analyst.
